Yellowknife’s Best Ice Fishing Tour
This is more than just an ice fishing tour. Experience the ultimate Indigenous ice fishing adventure in Yellowknife! Join a 100% Indigenous owned tour company for the most authentic ice fishing experience on the beautiful Great Slave Lake (Tu Nehthè), one of the largest lakes in the world and deepest in North America!
At our fishing site, you’ll witness how we set fishnets under the thick Arctic ice. Learn how this has been for thousands of years and how it remains vital to our culture today.
Feel the excitement as we pull our nets from under the ice and the fish start to appear one by one! You’ll learn to identify each species in our Dene language. You are welcome to participate in the harvest!
Afterward, try your hand at ice fishing inside our heated fishing huts, each with its own ice hole for a comfortable and sheltered ice fishing experience, while surrounded by the stunning beauty of the frozen Great Slave Lake.
Finally, we will head back to our Culture Camp to prepare, cook and enjoy a traditional meal of fresh Great Slave Lake fish, complete with trditional bannock and bush tea. It’s an authentic culinary experience of the North you’ll never forget!
Our Indigenous Ice Fishing Tour offers you a truly culturally immersive experience. Only 10 seats available per tour so book your Yellowknife Indigenous ice fishing tour today and experience the North like never before!
