Yellowknife’s BEST Nature Hike tour experience!
Enjoy a scenic drive through the wilderness of northern Canada and then a relaxing paced nature hike on our 4hr nature hike to Cameron River Falls. This is really good tour for connecting with Nature and getting back in focus, healing and getting re-energized.
Join our one of Yellowknife’s best guides, our Joe, who is Indigenous, who grew up here and is a member of the Yellowknife’s Dene First Nation. Joe will share stories about his culture and talk about trees, the animals and the special connections the Indigenous people have with the land. Plus he will take wonderful photos for your memories.
This tour is one of our best tours! You will get to view the wilderness of our northern Canada, then you will get some relaxing outdoor exercise and enjoy the waterfalls but probably the best part of this tour is the opportunity it gives you to connect with Mother Nature, to help you relax and help all your stresses go away. It is a wonderful tour to help with your mental health, a powerful and healthy nature hike experience!
After the scenic drive, we arrive at the parking lot and get ready for the hike. We will stop at walking trail entrance and a last minute safety session and then we’re off on a relaxing hike to the Cameron River waterfalls. Along the way we stop and Joe will talk about the land and take some wonderful photos at the scenic stops.
Once we reach the falls, we will stay about 30 minutes to fully enjoy the surroundings and reconnect with Mother Nature, the fresh air, let the land do its thing and start healing you. Pick your spot to sit down and make your connection with the falls and let all distractions of the city, all the stresses go away.
On our hike back we will show you the different plants and hear our Indigenous guides talk about the plants, trees and berries. Listen to how we use some of these for our traditional medicines. Then the second part of the tour is we’re back on the highway to Prelude Lake for a short hike to the best viewing spot of the whole lake, and on the way we will take photos at scenic locations along the way.
