Learn about Indigenous culture and history, join our Dene guide Joe on this personal and wonderful tour and hear his stories about being raised by his grandparents in the traditional Dene lifestyle and his early life living off of the land. Hear our Indigenous story.
He will take you on a walking tour of the Indigenous exhibits at the Prince of Wales Heritage Museum. He will interpret the exhibits as it relates to him and his life as an Indigenous person in today’s modern world.
As a delicious bonus, fresh traditional bannock will be served on the tour, and at the end of the walking tour, you will gather in one of the meeting rooms and Joe will tell more stories about our Indigenous culture, challenges we face today and what is in store for us in the future.
The tour will end off with a Q & A session with Joe. Joe will also talk about Cultural Protocol, how to properly and respectfully interact and engage with Indigenous peoples. A wonderful personal tour with Joe sharing his stories about his culture.
