He will take you on a walking tour of the Indigenous exhibits at the Prince of Wales Heritage Museum. He will interpret the exhibits as it relates to him and his life growing up as an Indigenous person in today’s modern world.
Joe will talk about how the Indigenous people have been and are still impacted by the Residential School tragedy and the challenges they face as they try to heal and once again practice their traditional way of life and culture in today’s world.
The tour will end with a Q&A section with Joe. Joe will also talk about Cultural Protocol, which is how to properly and respectfully interact and engage with Indigenous peoples. A wonderful tour with Yellowknife’s best tour guide, our very own Joe (the Aurora Hunter)!
