Experience the beautiful and spectacular Aurora Borealis at our Aurora Teepee camp! We are happy to announce we will be bringing back this very popular Aurora tour again starting this December and we can’t wait!!

Our Aurora Teepee tours are designed for small group tours only, this allows our guests to enjoy a more personal and private Aurora viewing and Indigenous cultural experience! Only 12 spots available each night. Watch the Aurora dance overhead then go inside the tents and warm up around the cozy woodstove and crackling fire. Enjoy delicious traditional snacks such as Great Slave Lake fish and fresh traditional frybread, try on traditional clothing and hear stories from our Indigenous guides about our Indigenous culture.

Our guides will be happy to take FREE professional photos of you and the teepees and traditional tents under the beautiful Aurora! If you have your own camera, they will be happy to assist you set your camera settings so you can also take amazing photos of the Aurora. Make sure to request one of our free tripods when booking your tour.

On this tour, sample delicious traditional local foods such as fresh Great Slave Lake whitefish and Trout from the Great Slave Lake and we will make our world famous (secret recipe) traditional bannock & frybread!

Tour will depart from last hotel in Yellowknife between 9:00pm and 9:30pm and returns to Yellowknife approximately 1:30am-2:00am (depending on the Aurora) for a 5hr tour. Sometimes we will stay out longer if the Aurora is still going strong. Tour includes free pickup from all hotels and most B&B’s.
