Experience the amazing Arctic!
Experience Canada’s newest territory, Nunavut! The mystic world of Canada’s untouched Arctic, home to the Arctic Ocean, the Arctic Tundra and home of the incredible and resilient Inuit peoples!
Are you looking for a unique, off the beaten path northern Canada adventure? Then our Arctic Ocean Culture Experience adventure just might be what you are looking for. It is a special world, even for us who live here in Yellowknife!
The Inuit people who live in the Arctic are truly resilient peoples. They have lived for thousands of years in one of the world’s harshest climates. You will journey into the heart of their traditional lands and meet with them and hear their stories, and at a very cool time, the season of the midnight sun!
Boat on the Arctic Ocean, take an ATV ride 20 kms along the Coppermine River to the historical site of Bloody Fall, site of the terrible massacre of 1771 that took place between explorer Samuel Hearne’s Dene guides and the local Inuit peoples that were camping there. Pay your respects.
Fly north from Yellowknife over the Arctic Circle to the Inuit community of Kugluktuk on the shores of the Arctic Ocean. Spend 4 days and 3 nights in the community, experiencing amazing Inuit culture, 24hr sunlight, fish for delicious Arctic Char in the Arctic Ocean, go hiking on the Arctic Tundra and look for Arctic wildlife such as muskox, grizzly bear, barrenland caribou, wolf and more!
This adventure is an all-inclusive package, you just need to bring your spirit of adventure. If you’re looking to experience Canada’s Arctic with a local, Indigenous tour company, then North Star Adventures is for you!
