Scenic drive and relaxing nature hike!
This 3.0hr tour offers you a relaxing scenic drive experience through the winter wilderness of northern Canada. Enjoy the frozen winter wonderland scenery as ride in our comfortable tour bus or for smaller groups, our SUV or van. See the Canadian Precambrian Shield landscape, the oldest rock in the world, watch for wildlife such as rabbit, wolverine, fox, lynx, wolf and moose as drive to an from our destination.
Not only does this tour offer you amazing photography opportunities, but gives you a perfect opportunity to reconnect with Mother Nature, reconnect with yourself and at the same time see and learn a little about our Indigenous culture. Once we are out at the frozen waterfalls, pick your own spot and lie down in the snow and relax. No sound, listen to the peacefulness of the winter wilderness. Our guests this is better than yoga!
Join our Indigenous Dene guide, Joe the Aurora Hunter, as he will be your driver and your guide. On the tour, Joe will share personal stories about his Indigenous culture, about the lessons taught to him by his grandparents and about the Dene people’s special relationships and connections to the land.
Somewhere along the drive, in the middle of the northern Canada winter wilderness, we will stop get some cool photos of the rugged beautiful of the winter wonderland and even put out some chairs and take some fun photos of you.
Enjoy the unique scenery of Canada’s rugged, untouched northern wilderness! Look for bird and wildlife along the way. If you choose our tour in February and March you will also get the chance to see the world famous Ice Road Truckers as they haul supplies to the diamond mines! In these months, the Ingraham Trail becomes part of the Diamond Mine Ice Road.
Make sure to wear proper footwear for this tour. Great opportunities for some healthy outdoor exercise, cool northern Canada winter wilderness photography, experience the frozen winter and learn about the special relationships the local Dene people have with the land!
