Make your own Indigenous mini drum!

Learn how to make your own Indigenous mini drum! Learn the meaning of the drum and its important role in Native American culture and especially with celebration and ceremony. 

The sound of the drum represents the heartbeat. The drum brings people and communities together in celebration. For community gatherings and for games, such as the powerful traditional Dene Hand games.

The drum plays an important role in many Indigenous cultures all over the worlds, it has many different roles, but most common of all the many roles the drum has, it brings people and communities together in celebration!  You will hear our Dene drum songs as you make your drum! 

In this 1.5hr workshop, learn about the history of the Drum. Create your own design with different beads, feathers and colours. You can also have the chance to try on some of our traditional Indigenous clothing. Great for taking photos with.
