You will journey into the heart of their traditional lands and experience their vibrant Inuit culture, and at a very cool time, the season of the midnight sun!
Boat on the Arctic Ocean, take an ATV ride 20kms from Kugluktuk along the Coppermine River to the historical site of Bloody Fall, where the terrible massacre of 1771 took place between explorer Samuel Hearne’s guides and the local Inuit peoples that were camping there. Pay your respects.
Fly north from Yellowknife over the Arctic Circle to the Inuit community of Kugluktuk on the shores of the Arctic Ocean. Spend 3 days and 2 nights in Kugluktuk, experiencing amazing Inuit culture, 24hr sunlight, the Arctic Ocean, fish for delicious Arctic Char in the Arctic Ocean, go hiking on the Arctic Tundra and look for Arctic wildlife such as Wolf, Muskox, Grizzly Bear, Caribou and more!

Welcome to Yellowknife, the capital of the Northwest Territories! We will greet you at the airport and check you into your hotel. Before dinner you will meet North Star Adventures’ staff who will give you updates on your Package, meet the other guests and meet your North Star team.
Fly over the Arctic Circle to the Arctic Ocean!
Today you will fly over the Arctic Circle to the small traditional Inuit community of Kugluktuk on the shores of the Arctic Ocean! Meet your local guide and check into your hotel. Your first day in Kugluktuk, will be amazing! Today is about getting used to a whole new world, a new world of Inuit peoples and culture.
Today you will go boating on the Arctic Ocean! Enjoy the cool clean ocean air, leave the mainland of the North American continent!
Spend your first night in the comforts of your hotel and prepare for the next few days activities.
Visit Bloody Fall on the Coppermine River!
Today you will ride an ATV to the famous Bloody Fall site, up the Coppermine River from the community. enjoy the scenery along the way, and learn about the massacre of Bloody Fall in 1771.
We will have lunch there, pay our respects and start our journey on our ATV’s back to Kugluktuk.
During your ATV ride maybe you see wildlife such as arctic fox, wolf, caribou and grizzly Bear. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a relaxing evening.
Meet the local residents, hear their stories
Today you are in for a real treat, today you will meet some of the community residents and hear their stories. This is our Tea & Talk with residents, meet the Mayor, meet some of the youth and meet respected Elders.
Then you’re off to the airport to catch your flight back to Yellowknife for a delicious dinner and comfortable hotel stay in the Explorer Hotel.

Today it’s time to leave the north and head home. You will leave with a renewed appreciation for the vibrant and resilient Inuit culture and the beauty of Canada’s Arctic!
