On this overnight tour you will drive the Mackenzie Highway system, experience genuine Indigenous cultural and look for the world’s largest buffalo and other northern wildlife in almost 24hr daylight! You will spend one night in the Indigenous community of Fort Providence (pop. 750) situated on the shores of the mighty Mackenzie River!
We will tour the community, learning of its history and meeting some of the local residents. Then we will venture south of the community crossing the mighty river on the very cool 1.1km (0.6mi) long Dehcho Bridge on our way to the scenic Lady Evelyn Falls and then continuing on to visit the tiny Indigenous community of Kakisa (pop 36), that’s right, population of only 36 residents!
All throughout the tour we’ll take many cool photos and videos (please provide USB or SD card for video or you can buy our North Star Memory Package) of you and your group.
