Create your own Dreamcatcher, Mini Drum, or Medicine Wheel while learning about their cultural significance. This immersive experience offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with Dene culture and engage in hands-on cultural learning.

No prior experience is required. This workshop is designed to be welcoming, educational, and accessible for participants of all ages and skill levels.

  • 10:00 AM | Dreamcatcher Workshop
    Design and weave your own Dreamcatcher in Yellowknife and learn its sacred role in protecting against negative dreams and energies.
  • 1:00 PM | Mini Drum Workshop
    Craft a traditional Mini Drum, symbolizing the heartbeat of Mother Earth and the rhythm that connects all living beings.

Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday

  • 10:00 AM | Fish Cleaning & Bannock Making Experience (Currently not available)
    Learn traditional Northern food preparation techniques, including fish cleaning and bannock making. This hands-on experience provides insight into everyday Indigenous life, food traditions, and cultural practices in the North.
  • 1:00 PM | Medicine Wheel Workshop
    Create your own Medicine Wheel, representing balance, healing, and connection to the four sacred directions.
