Wildlife
Here in the Northwest Territories, we are very fortunate to have our wildlife abound in great numbers, in spite of globalization, our wildlife remains! In the southern part of the Northwest Territories, we enjoy the following wildlife: muskrat, marten, beaver, mink, rabbit, lynx, fox, wolf , wolverine, black bear, grizzly bear, caribou, moose, buffalo and big horn sheep.
Out on the tundra you can find Arctic Fox, wolf, muskox, caribou, grizzly bear, rabbit and lynx.
In the northern part of the Northwest Territories you can find polar bear, grizzly bear, wolf, muskox, arctic fox, seal, beluga whale, bowhead whale.
In addition to this, our lakes and rivers abound with many species of fish and birdlife such as many species of ducks, falcons, owls, cranes, geese, eagles, robins and more.
So as you can see there is many,many species of marine life, wildlife and birds to see, you really need to come up and see for yourself!
