On our Aboriginal Nature Hike tours not only will you will experience the rugged beauty of Canada’s northern wilderness, but you will also learn about how we co-exist with the land and animals! Our Aboriginal guides will talk about how we use the land for food, shelter, clothing and more.
No previous hiking experience not required, however it is preferred if you are in reasonable physical shape and have proper footwear. Healthy brown bag lunch can be provided for additional $14.99+GST (sandwich, fruit & juice). Minimum 4 persons needed for tour to go ahead, if not then you will receive 100% refund. On this 5.0hr tour enjoy a relaxing 45 minute drive on the Ingraham Trail to the Cameron River Falls. Then it’s a short 20-30 minute hike through the wilderness to these cascading falls. Once at the Falls, find your own little spot, sit down and enjoy the view, relax and reconnect with Mother Nature. Afterwards, drink fresh water from the fast flowing river, walk across the arch bridge and hike to the base of the Falls! On the way back to Yellowknife we will stop along the way to get some cool scenic photos of you and Canada’s northern wilderness!
This 4.0hr tour offers you a more private hiking tour experience when compared to the Cameron Falls tour but with more spectacular wilderness views! After a short 30 minute drive to the trail entrance, you will enjoy a longer hike through the wilderness of northern Canada. With informative interpretative stations all along the route you will learn firsthand about the flora and fauna of our northern wilderness from your Aboriginal guides.
