Experience genuine Aboriginal culture! Learn about traditional fishnet fishing and how we fished before there was nets. We will demonstrate and explain how we use net to harvest fish from under the frozen ice, and we will identify the different kinds of fish we catch in the net. You can even help the Aboriginal guides pull the net from under the frozen ice of the Great Slave Lake!
You will also try ice fishing, Canadian style, sit inside a cozy, comfortable fish tent and try your luck at fishing for live freshwater fish in the hole in the ice! Catch your own MONSTER Great Slave Lake fish!
Then we go inside our warm traditional tents and warm up with hot drinks, and watch our Aboriginal guides prepare and cook the fish you just caught, fresh fish!!
