Experience genuine Indigenous culture! Learn about traditional fishnet fishing and how we fished before there was nets. We will demonstrate and explain how we use net to harvest fish from under the frozen ice, and we will identify the different kinds of fish we catch in the net. You can even help the Aboriginal guides pull the net from under the frozen ice of the Great Slave Lake!
Then we go inside and warm up with hot drinks and watch our Indigenous guides prepare and cook the fish you just caught, fresh fish!! Then it’s time to eat, delicious fresh fish in fish chowder and pan fried and of course traditional bannock will be served! Min 6; max 26 guests per tour.
