Experience a once in a lifetime northern Canada road adventure under the midnight sun! Our Aboriginal guides have driven these roads since they were young children. Enjoy Aboriginal culture, wild buffalo, the Mackenzie River, the Liard River and of course a true once in a lifetime experience, the Nahanni National Park! Travel comfortably in our luxurious 8 passenger SUV. Along the way our guides will teach you some of our Aboriginal language and tell you stories about our culture and many personal summer and sometimes harrowing winter road experiences!
Includes all transportation, accommodations, dinner meal in Yellowknife, lunch meals in Fort Providence, snacks and health drinks and all photos and videos of your Midnight Sun Deh Cho Road Adventure. Does not include Nahanni National Park option.
Day 1
Arrive in Yellowknife, meet & greet with North Star Adventures guide; City Tour of Yellowknife (history of Yellowknife, great photos) and dinner at Bullock's Bistro (delicious local fish)
Day 2
3 hour road trip to Aboriginal community of Fort Providence; Cultural activities with local aboriginal tour operator and then overnight in Fort Providence hotel
Day 3
Depart Fort Providence for the Deh Cho! Cross the Mackenzie River by ferry, visit aboriginal community of Jean Marie River and then arrive Fort Simpson and check in to your B&B
Day 4
Day trip into Nahanni National Park, tour of Fort Simpson and then overnight in Fort Simpson B&B
Day 5
Depart for the end of the road to the aboriginal community of Wrigley, lunch in Wrigley then back to Fort Simpson and overnight at your B&B
Day 6
Depart for return trip to Yellowknife, cross the Mackenzie River, delicious Buffalo Burger at Fort Providence, view wild Buffalo and then arrive back in Yellowknife and overnight in your Yellowknife B&B
